Stavsnäs Sweden

Turning an off-plan house into a soulful summer home

Our client; an international family with three children, were seeking a turnkey solution for their newly purchased off-plan house in the Swedish coastal village of Stavsnäs. With no garden, no furniture, and stark white walls throughout, the house lacked warmth, storage, and personality. They needed clever ways to create functional space for a growing family, along with a design vision that would bring the ease and joy of summer living to life.

  • With the home still in development, we focused on early-stage layout optimisation and outdoor planning. BIOME designed a private back garden complete with a generous lawn for barefoot sports, a hedge for privacy, and a patio made for long, lazy evenings in the sun.

Inside, we introduced new colour schemes to break up the blank canvas feel and curated practical storage solutions to support easy, shared living for the children. The final stage of the project centred on staging and styling - adding the textures, shapes and soft details that turn a property into a home.

  • A fresh, functional summer retreat with space to grow and room to breathe. Stylish, playful, and completely ready to move in. A home that reflects the Scandinavian rhythm of life; simple, intentional, and beautifully personal.
